Caught your website on the page of a Facebook friend. I am the mother of three boys and enjoyed your blogs. They are well written and very entertaining. Keep writing and we will keep reading.

So sitting in my car waiting for someone of my kiddies to finish some activity and flipping thru an OPRAH mag-and I say”I Know that girl!!” See your beautiful face and your article(which both me and my huge snowboarder fan Hannah loved) and I think I’ve got to track that girl down…and then today I get my Trin Mag and see about your blog!! I have missed reading you(since days of “Along the Long Walk”) and I have missed you-so now I get a 2-fer -get to read you and can get in touch with you. Wasn’t sure of your email and what not as all I have is some old golf mag email. So I am going to sit down and read each and every blog bit and hope we can reconnect soon.. xxoo Ka Harin Ma

Kate,

Send me your mailing address, please. Have a little Mother’s Day something I would like to send. Thinking of both you – and your mom.

Goes without saying – keep writing. Much love.

Hey Kate,

So this is fairly impersonal—leaving you a catchup message for the world to see. How are you? Guess you heard about me and Elin…

Seriously, how and where are you? Send me a note so I’m not like Shipnuck posting my cell phone.

Hi, Kate:

Thanks for accepting my friend request. Jeez, cannot even believe I wrote that, or made a “friend request” which sounds so desperate.

What I wanted to say here is you are way too great a writer for nobody to be seeing your work here. Won’t you reconsider joining our now 40+ terrific writers at The A Position?

Call me. Let’s discuss. Remember that we share the same favorite book– and I’m actually a real, live Oregonian. And you just got engaged here, if I’m paying attention. So you love Oregon, and hence want to call me . . .

Best,
Jeff

I love you Kate,
Happy Mother’s (or is it Mothers”) Day Kate. Never liked MOther’s/Mathas’ Day much either. Asked the kids to leave me alone today. They didn’t thank God!

Katie I could read you all day. I hear your voice in your writing and picture us sitting at our desks at Self or walking around The Village, always laughing. I miss you!

Hi Kate. I don’t know if you remember me but we worked together when I was at InStyle. I was the entertainment editor over there. Now I’m at Good Housekeeping. I wanted to get in touch with you about possibly writing a cover story for us. Can I get your email and phone number so we can chat (or virtually chat) about this and see if it would be a good fit? Let me know. Thanks!

So glad to read your stuff. You are a friend of a woman I work with – Julie Burgener. Love what you have to say! Anybody that watched Hill Street Blues isn’t bad in my book!
Catch my site if you’d like – http://drutieben.wordpress.com – and keep writing!

Hi Kate,

I recently came across your blog, and saw that you’re a huge fan of Holly Hunter!

Tomorrow (3/12/2013) at 3pm EST, HuffPost Live is hosting a 30-minute discussion with Holly about her new show and we’d love to have join us as a guest via webcam to ask questions.

Would you be interested in participating? All you would need is: access to a webcam (laptops/desktops, iPhones, iPads, and Androids are all welcomed), a strong internet connection and a set of headphones. If interested, please respond with contact information (phone number) and I’d be more than happy to provide you with further details.

Best,
Felicia
