weird– my favorite book is also sometimes a great notion, or possibly 100 years of solitude . . . (or the world according to garp or maybe the great gatsby)

saw a stage production of SAGN last year in Portland– hard to imagine it, but it was great.

congrats on the new site!

I can’t believe you are still pushing sometimes a great notion and jerry jeff walker – didn’t you once drag me out in a blizzard for them? luckily some things never change!!!
any tapawingo alums in charlotte? bet i would know them……stewardesses on airplanes often mistook my dad for bobby darin – personally i couldn’t see it…….

Hey Kate,
This is AWESOME!! I am laughing so hard I am crying! I can totally relate–only it is Power Bars melting in the Volvo during football and swim practices, and this week it is both the refrigerator and the dishwasher that decided to crap out! And who knew there was someone else out there with the same career highlight as me (except I was the Blue team of course!)..I will pass this along to everyone I know because we ALL can relate! All the best! Lisa

I rarely to never read blogs but that one caught my eye (especially when I saw the term, jag-off). Its too bad jag-off has to be written because to understand its true notion, you really have to hear it spoken in Pittsburghese.

By the way , when I was 5 years old, I had a big crush on Kate Meyers!

Just found your blog today I throughly enjoyed it I went back and read each entry. I want to go to Pearl Streeet Beach it sounds great. I’m assuming it’s in New Jersey. I also have two girls they are older 15 & 23. Just wondering why was Garth Brooks a bad interview?
It sounds like you have a very amazing but hectic life. Try to enjoy all of it especially those girls. I live in a very small town in Texas my life only gets hectic every once in a while always because of the kids. I don’t think im made for to much fast paced but I love reading about yours.
Thank you for sharing with all of us.
